Jerry Flemma

PRESIDENT

Jerry is the President/COO at Jacobson/Rost, responsible for marketing strategy, retail execution, new product launch planning and the agency’s new business development efforts. Jerry joined Jacobson/Rost in 1996 as the Lead Account Strategist before becoming the President/COO in 2000. Since that time, Jerry has led the evolution of Jacobson/Rost into one of the nation’s most fiercely independent and successful agencies. In 2007, Jerry recognized the talent and technical opportunities that the Chicago market offered, and he opened J/R Chicago to offer additional client services. 

Jerry has significant brand and retail experience in consumer durables, package goods and healthcare segments. Prior to joining Jacobson Rost, Jerry was a Group Supervisor/Consumer Products at Cramer-Krasselt in Milwaukee, where he worked on such iconic brands as Master Lock, Mercury Marine, GE Medical and Yamaha. Jerry started his career with classic package goods experience while working on the Bayer Aspirin global business at IPG’s Lintas: New York.

Pat Goggin

Chief Strategy Officer

Pat is our Partner/Chief Strategy Officer, guiding the strategic direction of the agency via Truth to Transactions and the Newsroom Storytelling Structure. Prior to joining J/R, Pat was EVP Global Strategy and a member of the Global Board at Leo Burnett, where he originated the HumanKind philosophy that drives the agency¹s philosophy to this day. Earlier in his career, Pat was CEO of Leo Burnett South Africa and Korea, and he was Regional Director of EMEA, leading General Motors accounts Chevrolet and Cadillac.

Steve Simoncic

Chief Creative Officer

Steve is our Partner/Chief Creative Officer, and his primary role is guiding the overall creative vision for our agency. A writer by trade, Steve believes deeply in the power of storytelling in getting at an essential truth and bringing a brand to life. With a profound belief in purpose and a deep commitment to craft, Steve has helped create a philosophy at J/R we like to call “Creative Non-fiction” — fiercely creative ideas grounded in truth. Prior to coming to J/R, Steve was the CCO of PEAK6/Energy, and prior to that, he spent 15 years at Leo Burnett. As an SVP/CD at Burnett, Steve worked on global campaigns for a collection of international accounts including Disney, Samsung, McDonald’s and Cadillac.
