Potbelly exists to make people really happy, which they do every day in store. We helped achieve that goal socially by translating the Potbelly brand into a digital presence that exudes positivity and brings happiness to its followers.

The happiness in Potbelly Shops exists at the nexus of Good Food, Good Music and Good People. To tell that story socially, instead of telling people to be happy, we needed to make them happy with the content we created.

Potbelly's social pages got a makeover — both visually and vocally. We were able to personify the brand consumers know and love as local, friendly and eccentric. 

By making consumers happy with engaging, sharable content, we are able to cause a positive emotional association with the brand to acquire new customers, reconnect with old ones, and to, ultimately, sell more sandwiches.



In addition to fun social posts, we helped grow Potbelly's awareness, impressions, and sales with digital ads that supported product launches and pushes.

At the end of the day:

We turned Potbelly’s social presence into a community of happy, positive people who are brand loyal. In just over four months, we have garnered 45,592,485 impressions; 5,393 new Facebook fans; 779 new Twitter followers; 949 new Instagram followers; increased engagement across all channels; and a spot in the 95th percentile for response rate.
